Here is a little 'blurb' about some of Riley's new tricks:
*I put him on his tummy when I went to go answer the phone on Saturday and when I cam back to him he was sitting up...much to my surprise! I think he used the bottom of our console table (which is in a new place for the holidays) to pull himself into sitting. I'm ready to see it again!
*The other day during lunch he started waving, so I waved back and said 'Hi' and he tried to say hi back! He's done it one other time...not consistent yet, but you gotta start somewhere!
*I recently bought some sippy cups that he likes with handles (he's very picky about the type of 'nipple') and the bottles he likes with handles, so he's working on drinking by himself. Last night he actually 'fed' himeself almost 4 oz. from the bottle and fell asleep in his swing. He was there just to amuse himself while we looked at some pictures, but when we came back, bottle empty and baby asleep. He's growing up so fast! It's funny, I've been waiting for 5 months for him to take a bottle, and now that he can practically give it to himeself, it's a little bitter-sweet honestly. I'll cope though.
*He is CREEPING ALL OVER THE PLACE! I just wish he would push up on those hands and get his clothes of the floor now, cuz he's moving as fast as he could crawling, and getting into just as much stuff! He drags himself around like a soldier in the treches, pulling himself with his elbows...it's so cute! (I know, I think everything he does is cute)
*He loves to be walked around. He'll be screaming his head off, tears flowing like Niagra Falls, but stand him up, start moving and he's all smiles. It's so cute to see those tiny feet move!
*He is getting so much better at self-feeding finger foods, but he likes to pick up the food with one, inspect it, the pass it to the other hand for delivery. I love to watch those curious eyes looking the food over. And he is choosy about what he picks, like if there are golffish and oyster crackers on the try, he'll choose the goldfish, but if there is cheese and goldfish crackers, he's all about the cheese...can't get enough!
*He is singing and dancing to music. I'll sit him in my lap when I play the piano and he'll start singing. Theme songs will come on the tv and he'll start bouncing (whether he's standing, siting, laying, or in his exersaucer).
*Just recently he has started to make noise on the back of his hand, you know, by moving it back and forth while he babbles (I know my niece, Becca, did this, it is too cute!).
Well, I think that about covers the most recent Riley feats.
Song in my head: "Go Diego Go" (tv is still on in Nana's living room from naptime)

Yay for Riley! He is just getting to be such a big boy...wow! It is hard when you don't see them that often, they seem to grow up even faster!
And I've been telling you that for THREE years now! I know exactly what you mean!!!
Time is moving along sooo fast now! 9 months old already!!
