This is the most difficult post I have written thus far, because it will be about a wonderful woman who is no longer with us. My husband's grandmother, 'M' as we all knew her, passed away on July 18, 2005. Her husband, of 62 years, was with her until she took her last breath. I had the amazing privilage of knowing 'M' for 8 years and she had become a grandmother to me. I loved her very dearly. She was the most generous, kind-hearted person I have ever known. As her sons and grandchildren expressed during her Memorial Service, she loved her famiiy tremendously. It was beautiful to see her light up when her sons, grandchildren, and even her 3 grand-babies were around.
She fought cancer for 8 long years, she fought to be around for her granddaughter's wedding, then for her grandson's wedding, then for ther 1st great-grandchild, and through 3 great-grand-babies in total, she even fought long enough to see her great-grandson's baptism. She taught us all how to be more generous, how to enjoy life and most of all, she reminds us of what is important in life.
Although she will no longer be with us in body, we know she is always with us in our hearts, and that she will be looking down on us from Heaven, just enjoying the show.
We love you 'M', and we will miss you very much.

Heads Up!
Weight Loss Update:
Lost 1 lb. this week
Total for 6 weeks: 9.5 lbs.
This is so amazing, because I haven't even been eating the Jenny Craig food for over a week now! We had an emergency trip this past weekend, so I ate out, and ate out, and ate out some more, so I was VERY happy with a 1 lb. drop. I started back on my JC foods today and I couldn't be happier. The more crap I ate this past week the worse I felt (headaches, stomaches), so I definitely feel the benefits of healthier eating. The good thing is, though, that now I know how I feel on the 'crap' foods, so I don't crave them anymore! McDonald's...YUCK!
Riley: He's holding his head up so well now! On Sunday he was laying on Chris' chest and holding his head up high, it was so great! So yesterday morning he did some tummy time on our bed with a toy and with me looking at him, he held it up, smiling, enjoying it! Now we just move on to being able to reach for and play with toys in his new position and we're good to go! He is also very close to being able to roll over. He rocks into a side-laying position from his back now, all the time, and when on his tummy yesterday, he almost rolled over all the way to his back. It's amazing, once they start moving, they just don't stop!

5 Week Weigh-In
Weight Loss Update:
Lost 1 lb. this week
Total for 5 weeks: 8.5 lbs.
Had a FABULOUS 4th of July weekend and enjoyed EVERY BITE! Visited sister-in-law and family Friday-Monday and we had a blast! Water parks, air force base activities, fireworks, professional pictures of the 'cousins', shopping, smoked brisket, games, and more! I miss them so much, I wish we could all live closer. So, after cake, custard, Mexican food, and more, I am VERY happy with a 1 lb. loss.
Riley, Riley, Riley...he just cracks me up! He has discovered a new language, sounds a lot like squawking! It's so cute! He has been so vocal lately, loves to hear his new 'sounds' I guess. He really liked one of his cousins toys, a tummy time toy, so I let him play with it and got him holding his head up all by himself! He did really well! So, of course, I bought him one of his own! I've got to get it all cleaned, filled & ready so we can practice more tummy time! He's getting so close, I just know he'll have it soon and he's going to have so much fun playing once he gets it.

Yay for the duck playmat!
