Our Big Boy

Riley spent his FIRST night in a big boy bed Saturday night and it went wonderfully! He has given us NO problems going down at night, stays in bed without any issues! He has woken up in the middle of night crying, but stays in bed and we just have to go up and calm him down. And of course, he's waking up VERY EARLY, but he just comes downstairs and climbs into bed with Mommy and we get to snooze a little longer. So far, I have to say, it's going MUCH smoother than anticipated, so I hope it stays that way!

Showing off his new 'big boy' bed - it's a convertible crib, but I'm not sure how long it'll last before he's too long for it! (Mel - notice the plaque above the bed? It used to be above his dresser cuz of tent, but we think it fits perfectly right there now!)

We planned ahead and put pillows on the floor by the bed for WHEN he falls out...yes, when, not if...and he has already fallen out of bed at least once that we know of, and he slept right through it, thanks to the pillows!

Great job Riley! I am so jealous! Jenna is 4 1/2 and still wanders into my bed every night. She's a cuddler! I guess thats my excuse!!

That is awesome! He is getting so big! :-) Hopefully you can get a few months at least out of the toddler bed before you have to move up to a bigger one! We did the pillows on the floor for Becca too when she was starting out her twin bed and they prevented lots of ouchies! Great job Rilikins!!! :-)
PS- the plaque looks perfect there! :-)

WOW WOW WOW... all these firsts with our kids! They are both almost totally potty trained and sleeping in big kids beds. I can't beleive thow much they have grown in the last couple of months.

I'm so glad the transition went smoothly. And yes, they do like to get up very very early dont they. Lea was up at 6:15 this morning... ugh lol..
