Fire Station Play Date

We had a play date Friday at the fire station RIGHT down the street from our house - so close we actually walked to it! It was especially fun for Riley because we hear the fire engine and ambulance driving past our house all the time!

Look how big those tires are!

Trying on the VERY HEAVY hat!

Riley had a blast turning on and off all the flashlights they had in there!

"Don't worry, we're on our way!"

Kids can be afraid of fire fighters when they are dressed in all their gear, especially the masks, so the firemen brought one out for the kids to try on (or the mommies) to help ease any fears. Riley didn't seem to have a problem with it at all! Look at his eyes, you can tell his smiling!

The fire fighters were SO GREAT with all the kids! Most of the kids in our play group are 2.5-3.5 years old, so their attention span is basically non-existent, but the firemen were so patient and they let them play with and touch so many things!

They even let them sit in the driver's seat!

What a great visit we all had!
