Chris and I finally got around to finishing one project and starting another, so I thought I'd share.
Last year we built a small deck in our back yard (as big as we could afford) and we still need to add a shingled roof, but this summer we decided to extend the patio out on the other side. We LOVE it! It frees up so much space, and it got rid of an unfortunate mud pit that was over there as well.

And the 'after'...perfect place for the grill!We also started adding some tint to the front windows of our house, to keep Riley's room and his play room cooler. I was really surprised with how much difference they made, here are some pics to show you!

We had someone come out and tint our house windows last month and love it! It really makes a big difference!
Wow what a good job yall did! This window tint thing is new to me. I hope it helps with the heat!
Wow what a difference that makes. all that hard work is worth it. The window tint will definately come in handy. I wish we had done that when we lived in OK...could have saved my nice drapes from fading and kept the AC bill down:)
