Weigh In #3

I've lost 3.6 lbs. since last weigh in and a total of 6.4 since we started 24 days ago.
We will have 1 more week on Phase 2, so we'll start Phase 3 next Tuesday. The biggest change will be 1-2 more ounces of meat each day and whole grains! We get to add some whole wheat bread, pasta, etc. YAY!

I'm doing different things for exercise - Walk Away The Pounds 2 Mile, WATP Walk & Jog, WATP Walk & Kick, Turbo Jam 20 Minute - but the goal is 35 minutes per day 5-6 days a week, which I'm sticking to very well.

I'm very happy with this weigh in and hope next week's is just as good! Thansk for everyone's support.

On another note: My son scared me half to death last night. He was crawling on the floor, for some reason, and was using the base of our console table to stand back up, and his hand slipped, causing him to fall and hit his chin...I think...on the bottom of the table (which is a shelf/table). All we saw was blood...LOTS of blood...after using a wet cloth to wipe it away we uncover a HUGE gash in his bottom lip. (well, at least I can stop looking for broken teeth) I run for ice and Chris inspects further and says he thinks he bit straight through his lip. That's all I need to hear...load him and let's hit the emergency room! We decided to try one of those emergency clinics first, it was just down the street, but there was a TWO HOUR WAIT! You can imagine how I reacted to that news. So we get him back in the car and head to the hospital. On the way it stops bleeding and Riley stops crying and we can see it's not bit ALL the way through, just cut on inside AND outside...so we calm down and decide to go to an emergency clinic by mom's house that has only a 45 minute wait. On the way there we decide to just go to mom's and let her (as a grandman with DECADES of experience) take a look and see what she thinks. By the time we got there it looked SO MUCH better. She didn't think it needed stiches, we agreed, so we just gave hiim a popsicle to suck on, hoping to take down some of the swelling. It's so sad to look at. He's 'playing' with it today...pushing it out with his tongue, sucking on it, picking at it...so that's gonna be a challenge, but for now, he seems okay. It's funny though, his first big bump on the head I was so calm and collected...but at the sight of seeing my baby boy's blood, I was a wreck! You aren't supposed to see their blood! It's just wrong and scary! I'm grateful that he's okay and hope it stays that way for a long time to come. :-)

Jenna fell this weekend off the swing and I thought almost bit through her lip too! LOTS OF BLOOD!! She cried. Since this is a regular occurrence for us I give her a washcloth with a piece of ice in it to suck on!! She calmed down and is healing well!!

Blood is where I have a hard time...I really have to remind myself "remain calm, do not freak them out and do not faint" The fainting part is more for when I see my own blood and have to make an ER visit, but at least I know my limitations. It is always horrible seeing blood and not knowing the extent of the damage. BTW...great job on your weigh in. It takes a lot of will power to be able to work through the tough times to come out ahead:)

Poor Rilikins! :-( That is no fun! I am so glad it didn't require stitches!! I don't do well either when the Girls get hurt like that! SO scary! (for the kids as well as the parents!!)
BTW how did your mom become a 'grandman?' Does that require special training, LOL! :-)
