The Deck Project

"If you build it, they will come."

Really? Let's find out!

I dug that hole, the one on the left. No really, I did!

Be sure to pay attention to the shade line, and how much we did & didn't have at certain times during the build.

Getting closer.

Getting dark and getting close!

Final touches....

DONE! Don't they look proud of themselves?

Okay people, we now have a deck...who's coming over for BBQ?

This is a small deck, and we placed the posts because we are going to cover next time we have a free weekend, but it did take 8 hours. Digging the holes for the posts and pouring the concrete took the most time, in my opinion. Chris was very meticulous about his measurements, even lightly hammered in nails between each plank to make sure they were evenly spaced. Just have a plan and follow it...it may take a little while, but in the end it'll make it easier and 'prettier'! And, it did cost us almost $400 in lumber and supplies, so be prepared! Good Luck!

Looks good! You'll be glad in years to come of Chris's dedication to the measurements :)
