So we made the TERRIBLE mistake of buying one of those 'microfiber', or whatever' couches shortly after Riley was born. DRY-CLEAN ONLY. Seriously. I'm not sure what we were thinking, but let me tell you, we have learned our lesson. But...we have to deal with it until we can afford to buy a new couch. I called our carpet/upholstery cleaners and asked them if they could clean it. They told me to buy a new couch. Duh! Luckily, they did tell me I could try using white vinegar, and that if it didn't get up the old stains, it should help with the new. So, I promptly went at it and I am AMAZED at the results! Here are a couple of 'before' shots:

Now, I could NOT getting the lighting right when trying to take JUST a picture of the couch, so these pictures aren't great, but you should be able to tell that the stains you see above are GONE! (with a dry-clean only couch, if you try to clean up apple juice that leaked out of a sippy cup, with water, then you get the above stains. Horrible. And they were all over the couch and ottoman.) The cushion on the right I had already treated and was comparing to the still-stained one on the left.
